Bathtub Girls

The girls were having so much fun in the bathtub this morning that I had to take a picture. They were "doing the backstroke."

Santa Came to See Me Too

I'm thinking Santa definitely got my name mixed up with someone else as well! Brian absolutely shocked me with his Christmas gift to me this year. He always does something totally suprising. He wrote me the sweetest poem and then gave me the most beautiful ring. We have really had a horrible year this year but we "renewed" our commitment to each other to love each other through the bad times and to trust God in every decision we make. What a wonderful Christmas this was and what a fantastic husband that I have!

Santa

I am pretty sure that Santa got Macy and Molly's names mixed up with two other children because I really don't think they were THIS good! Ha Santa looked and searched for a long time to get just the right Princess Castle for the two princesses that live in our house. Brian remembered from over a year ago when we were at Disneyworld that there was a "replica" of Cinderella's castle that they sold there. He thought at the time, "we should really get this to give them in a couple of years." Well, he searched and searched and finally found the one that he remembered. Brian was so excited...but not near as excited as the girls!

Christmas Eve

We always have Christmas Eve at Brian's parent's house with his entire family. It is such a blessing to be with all of them and we have a great time together laughing and eating! I was just astounded at the amount of presents that ended up under the tree. There were 15 of us all to open presents, but I truly think that half those gifts were for my girls! They came home with so much stuff, it was rediculous!

Eat Your Heart Out, Paula Deen!!

This year, I was asked by my mother-in-law to cook the turkey. I was very scared to do this because all that came into my mind was the turkey on "Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" that exploded. But, proudly I can say...it was scrumptious!!

Opening Presents with Friends

Some of Macy and Molly's "bestest" friends invited them over for some yummy sandwiches and to exchange they Christmas gifts. They had fun dressing up, eating, opening gifts and playing with those gifts!

My sweet friend, Jennifer, and her daughters, Claire and Ava met up with me and the girls at Cracker Barrel for a little lunch (well, breakfast) and some great company. We exchanged gifts and laughs and had some fantastic pancakes...especially Ava.


I have always had great luck with taking pictures of Ava...she always smiles for me. Well, today...she was just determined not to give me a good picture!

Fun at the Church

The girls haven't been to the church to play in a long time and they were getting very stir crazy this morning, so we decided to go play. We had lunch and then they played for almost three hours! And there weren't any kids there at first and then just a few after a little while. I was so excited that I finally got to finish a book that I have been reading forever!

Princess and the Frog

Macy and Molly joined two others "princesses" in going to the movie theater to see "Princess and the Frog." They hadn't been to the movie in a while and they were both so excited. Especially to have popcorn and sprite!! They were so cute and the movie was very cute.

Pledge of Allegiance, Part 2

It is amazing just how much younger siblings learn from their older brothers or sisters...back a few weeks ago, I posted here that Macy surprised me by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Well, today Molly shocked me by saying it too. She just has issues with the word "republic." Hilarious...

Decorating Their Tree

We felt this year that our girls were old enough to have a small tree in their playroom and that they could decorate the tree themselves. They had so much fun and we loved watching them!

"Pringle"

The Elf on the Shelf has now officially come to our house. We sat down this evening to read the book and the girls had to choose a name for our elf. The first choice was Lola. Well, we thought surely we can be a little more creative than that. Then, the girls said Charlie. Again...we tried to probe a little more and we decided on Pringle. Oh how the girls loved looking for him every morning when they got up.

Decorating my In-Law's Home

Every year since Brian can remember, he has always decorated his parent's house for Christmas. When we got married, I became included in that tradition. This year, Brian and I went all out decorating the inside and outside of their house. They moved into a new house a couple of years ago and have a lot more room to do things. They were so proud, especially his mother.
