I have posted several times here and here about the hard work Brian has done in our yard. Wanted to update with a couple more pictures. Isn't is gorgeous? Anyone want to hire him?

Sharing...I Can't Believe It

Today, we went to have lunch with daddy and we met my mother-in-law and sister-in-law there. After lunch, we walked around the mall for a little while. We decided to get the girls some ice cream, but it was so expensive (hubby works at an expensive mall) that we decided to get one ice cream and two spoons. I wasn't sure how well that was going to work, but we tried. And it was success!!!

3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF!

It has been raining all week and the girls have been going crazy here at the house. I got a text from Claire and Maddie's mommy that they were going to the church to play...we couldn't wait to go.

The girls lined up on the play gym and all started counting...10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 Blast Off. It was so cute!

"Little Girl" Room Part 2

So, I messed with the room a little more this afternoon. I had originally put the letters of their name on the wall with the intention to make it look like ribbon was holding them up. You may have been able to see the ribbon hanging on them that I hadn't hung yet. The more I looked at it, the more I didn't like the idea of the ribbon, so I took it off. Then, I thought the letters still looked a little plain....so I "cute-sied" them up a little with butterflies. I had some different things in a craft box and this is what I cam up with. What do you think?

"Little Girl" Room

About six months ago, I was searching on the internet for some cute bedding for the girls since I had put them in the same room. I finally found what I wanted and purchased it. But...life has been so busy that I haven't been able to change their room to accomodate the bedding. Then, about two months ago, my mom told me that she would give me the white furniture that they had in their guest room and that just sealed the deal on me deseperately wanting to get their room fixed. This past week, I painted their room, painted the twin bed that I currently had in the room, moved the current furniture out, moved the white furniture in, hung pictures and paintings, and......finally got it finished. When I get my mind on something, I become obsessed!! So, here are the pictures.

Last Dance Class

Macy just finished a six week dance class this summer. She loved it so much this last year that I thought she would enjoy a short class this summer. She is so precious to watch (even funny a lot of times). Thought you might enjoy watching this video of her little dance.

Gotta Love It

We took the girls to get ice cream this evening and boy did they love it. Brian got "Snickers" flavor, Molly got "Chocolate", Macy got "Chocolate" and I got "Mint Chocolate Chip." Molly took a bite of daddy's and decided that was what she was going to eat. She pushed her chocolate to him and kept the Snickers for herself. She held it so close so as to not give anyone a chance to steal it (as seen in the picture).

Big Macy, Little Molly

My daughter Macy is becoming the little storyteller. Last night while I was tucking her in, Macy said she wanted to tell me a story about Big Macy and Little Molly. I said alright, tell me. Here are her words. When the words are spelled out with multiple letters, that means she really held out the words.

Once upon a time, there were two girls, Big Macy and Little Molly. They were veeerrryyyy smart. They really loved mexican food, so one day they went out to eat. The salsa was tooooooo hot. And the cheese dip was juuuuusssst right. Then, they ate rice and beans and they lived happily every after. AMEN

I loved how she ended her story with Amen, like she had just finished her prayer. I laughed and laughed. You can tell her story is influence by the three little pigs!

First Kiss

I took this girls to play at the church this morning because we are getting a bit stir crazy in the house with it being so hot outside. They always love playing at the church. I called my friend Stephanie to see if she wanted to bring her son to play with them. Her son is Eli...you may remember him from this post. He loves his Macy. Anyway, they had such a good time playing...he was Superman and she was Supergirl (they informed us). When it was time to leave, Macy and Eli hugged and then....I couldn't believe it.....Eli kissed Macy on the cheek. Her cheeks turned the sweetest rosey pink. I so wished I had had my camera. It was the most adorable moment.

When Brian got home from work, I told him about this...here was the conversation:

Brian: So, did Eli kiss you on the cheek today?
Macy: Yes (giggles)
Brian: Did you kiss him back?
Macy: NO, daddy. I don't kiss boys.
Brian: Good girl!!

Good Taste in Shoes

Molly loves shoes just as much as her mommy does. If she sees a pair of shoes lying around (no matter who they belong to), she is going to put them on.

Water Slide Fun

We blew up the water slide again today because we knew the girls loved it so much yesterday. Oh, what fun the girls had today climbing up and sliding down, climbing up and sliding down. Or as Molly did, climb up the slide, let go and slide back down. So cute! I almost hate to think what is going to happen when we have to return the slide to my friends tomorrow. We will certainly have a meltdown. Tonight, while putting Macy to bed, I asked her what her favorite thing to do outside was. She said, "playing on my waterslide!" MY!!! Umm, not yours Macy. Gonna be a hard day tomorrow!

Macy's Birthday Party

Today started out with lots of anxiety and frustration instead of excitement for Macy's party. Why, do you ask? Because the party was to be outside and rain was forecasted for the day. There had been no rain in the forecast all week! I went to Walmart to find some games to do inside. I wondered how we were going to fit 35 people (15 kids) into the house. Needless to say I was stressed. Brian's response was "it is what it is, no need to stress!" Well, that just frustrated me more! Anyway, thanks to lots of prayer, the storm went all the around us, but never on us. The party went on as planned, outside, and everyone had a blast.


We originally were just going to have the pool for the kids to play in, but on Thursday, a friend offered this inflatable slide. The kids had a blast. I really don't know what we would have done without it. I think most of the kids played on it the entire time. It was a huge success!


I wanted to help make the kids all feel like they were special during the opening of presents, so I wanted Macy to hand out their goodie bags first. This was a fantastic idea because the kids were really focused on what was in their bags instead of all piling up on Macy while she was opening the gifts. (We all know how our kids do, right?) Well, this was a great idea until the kids found something in the bag...

A WHISTLE!!!!!!

What was I thinking? And I know every parent there was thinking, "is she crazy? The first thing we are doing when we get home is throwing that awful thing in the garbage!!" Trust me, I don't blame any of them. I was obviously not thinking when I bought that gift! Funny thing is...all I was thinking about was that finally maybe we were annoying our next door neighbor like their dogs barking constantly annoys us. Isn't that aweful! Anyway...friends...I don't blame you for throwing them away. Do it, burn them, send them to the garbage...please! You have my permission!

One more funny thing is this video...it is of all the kids singing "Happy Birthday." It was so precious...watch Macy's face when the song is almost to the end and her friends, Eli and Abby, blow out two of the candles.

I LOVE MY FAMILY!

Macy decided that she wanted to go to "Rainforest Cafe" to celebrate her birthday. We had so much fun. It made me realize just how fast my girls are growing up. It is flashing by so quickly.

Macy,

I cannot believe you are 4 today. How time has flown. It seems like just last week that you were first walking and now it seems like you know how to do everything. I have to admit that it seems like forever that you have been talking. You got that from your mother, sorry! You are such a little lady. You have the best manners, the best demeanor and you make everyone laugh. Every Sunday in Sunday School and every day you had Mother's Day Out, your teachers tell me something funny you said that day. Even your friend's mom's love to hear what you have to say. You are so sweet, especially to your friends. Daddy and I are so proud of the lady you are becoming. We are proud of how smart you are. We are proud of the great big sister you are. Daddy and I love you so much and can't wait to see what the next year brings. We only have you at home for one more year and then you start kindergarten, I just can't believe it. Stay the sweet, kind little girl that you are.

Happy Birthday, Claire

One of Macy's buddies shares the same birthday with her and we were privileged to be invited to her "Princess Party" today. Oh, how the girls loved to get dressed up and actually leave the house dressed that way. Macy was Sleeping Beauty and Molly was Tinkerbell. I know Tinkerbell is not exactly considered a "princess," but Molly was insistent on being her. I didn't argue.


The girls were served tea (in real teacups), peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (cut into the shape of a butterfly), fruit and crackers. Then, they were served cupcakes for dessert that they got to decorate with lots of options.


They played several games, including "pin the crown on the princess." Too cute. Macy won as she placed the crown closest to the princess's head.


Then, the girls went outside to have some pictures taken. It was so neat that not one girl was the same princess. So colorful!
