This is the only word that comes to mind when I look at the girl's playroom.

Happy Birthday Ryan and Macy

This year, we decided to have Ryan's and Macy's birthday parties together. Ryan is my nephew and his birthday is on June 26th and Macy's is on July 10th. We have always done two separate parties up in Bowling Green with our family, but this year, we decided it was just smarter to do them together. Ryan was so sweet and let Macy have the kind of cake she wanted...pink butterflies. Kind of funny for a 17 year old boy to have that as well, but he was just so sweet. We had the family party at my sister-in-law's house/pool.

Macy's favorite gift was from her Ninney and Granddaddy...a leapster learning game. I think she has almost mastered the entire thing. Much faster than her mommy!

Funny Sayings by Macy & Molly

Today, as we were getting out of the car to go into school, Macy said:
Macy: Mommy, do you have lipstick on?
Me: Yes
Macy: Mommies wear lipstick
Me: They sure do
Macy: So, if you don't wear lipstick, then you're the daddy

I just had to laugh!! Then, when I picked up Macy from school her teacher told me this story:
Ms. Ann: Let's all play dress up. Macy, why don't you put on this tie.
Macy: Oh no, Ms. Ann...mommies don't wear ties, daddies wear ties.
Ms. Ann: Oh Macy, we are just playing dress up. You can wear the tie.
Macy: Oh, but Ms. Ann...mommies just don't wear ties, daddies do.

You just can't outsmart a 4 year old, now can you?

Molly is funny when it comes to the names of her teachers. Their actual names are Ms. Roseanne and Ms. Kathy. Molly calls them Ms. Row-anne and Ms. Shaw-She. Now, if I ask her what their names are, she will say Ms. Roseanne and Ms. Ka(fee). But I think she likes to be funny with her teachers. They just love her so much.

Molly also calls her swimsuit, her swim-sloop. Hilarious! And she calls her friend, Emma Grace, Maw Grace.

Fun at the Pool

Today, we went to my parent's house to celebrate Father's Day. We spent most of the early afternoon at their pool. I just can't believe how each day, they get more and more comfortable in the pool...especially Molly. Here is a video of her jumping into the pool. I laugh because you will see how she has to get "geared up" to jump in. Too funny!

Then, my dad showed Macy how she could jump from the waterfall. Take a guess on how many times we had to do that!!

Then we moved over to the ledge. Watch out now...

Happy Father's Day

I am so proud to say that Brian is the father of our children. He is such a wonderful man, a tremendous example of God's love to the girls, and an amazing husband to top it all. It is nice to have a day to celebrate all the wonderful things that Brian does for our family. It is because of him that I am able to stay at home with the girls. It is because of him that they are able to take dance and swimming lessons and whatever else they want to do. It is because of him that I am able to go "out with the girls" when that much needed break comes. It is because of him that I am a better mother, a better wife and a better person. Thank you Brian for all that you do and for how hard you work on a daily basis.

Brian started a new job a few months ago and had been complaining that he still didn't have any pictures of the girls in his office. I kept putting him off because about a month ago, I had a good friend of mine come to the house and take their pictures. I was waiting on the proofs and the printing to give him the pictures. I really think he was about to give up on me. He really did think it was worth the wait when he opened his Father's Day gift last night. His office walls and desk will no longer be bare. I even got so excited about the pictures, that I changed the pictures in the girl's playroom. I had these cute little frames that had ballerinas in them (see below)and I got to looking that them last night and thought, I think the girl's pictures would look great in them. So, I tore apart the back of the pictures (bought at Target) and tore apart the matte and viola...aren't they just perfect?

My Little Fishies

I cannot believe how well both the girls are doing in the pool this year. Macy started back to swimming lessons about two months ago and she has just taken off. She can now jump off the side and swim to the steps totally unassisted. And Molly really shocked me today. She started off not wanting to even leave the steps. Slowly, I would take her out a little, then wearing a floaty, and then our friends that came over started jumping in...and before you know it, Molly was jumping in (to me not far from the edge) and actually going under the water and swimming up. I was blown away.

We went swimming at my parent's pool this afternoon. It was almost 97 degrees this afternoon and the pool felt wonderful. Without the heat, the pool was close to 87 degrees. My friends, Lorin and Leslee met us there and brought their kids, Samara, Grace, Josiah and Hannah. They are just an adorable family...and all the kids are under 3 1/2! Pray for Leslee!

Happy Anniversary

Sunday is the anniversary of our very best friends, Dennis & Betsy. They are celebrating 12 years! WOW! We actually met up with them tonight for dessert. Brian and I actually had gotten a babysitter so that we could have a date and they had gone out to eat for their anniversary and the guys texted each other to meet up for dessert. Kind of crazy that we would forgo "alone time" to meet up with our friends...but we actually have way more fun with them than by ourselves! HA! Congratulations, Dennis and Betsy, on a wonderful 12 years!!

Big Sister Party

The girls attended a "Big Sister Party" today and what a blast they had. A good friend, Jennifer, is expecting her second baby, a girl, in the next couple of weeks and she wanted to do something special for her other daughter who is 3 1/2. So, in attendance was Emma Grace (going to be big sister), Jessica's daughters Maddie (big sister, 4) and Claire (little sister, almost 3), my girls Macy (big sister, almost 4) and Molly (little sister, 2 1/2) and another of our friends Jenny who has a daughter Lola (big sister, 4) and a soon to be little brother Max. What a party!! They started by painting onesies for their baby dolls. They had all kinds of paint and markers and stickers to decorate. Then, they each got a bag that included a diaper, bottle, and pacifier. Jennifer taught them how to put a diaper on their baby, feed their baby and put them down for a nap. It was the cutest thing. Then, they played "Pass the Stinky Diaper" aka "Hot Potato." The girls were so funny because each one who got "out" because they were holding the diaper when the music stopped thought they won the game. They were excited when they got out. Too funny. Then, they had the most amazing lunch: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into the shape of a heart, strawberries, grapes, bananas, and pretzels and then for dessert, they each got a strawberry cupcake and all kinds of candies to decorate the cupcake.

Macy and Molly just had the best time. Everything was so creative. I couldn't believe the Jennifer, being 37 weeks pregnant got all this together. Thank you so much!

Funny Picture

It was so funny when I peeked around the corner this evening to find this. The girls were watching a movie and Molly was laying between the chair and the ottoman with just her head poking out to see the TV. So cute.

Lunch With Nomie

Today, the girls and I went to have lunch with my mom. She just started a new job that is much closer to where we live, so we met at Chic-Fil-A. Of course, the girls had a blast playing as well. They always do there. Here are a few fun pictures.

Really Cute Videos

We were sitting out on the back porch yesterday evening and the girls were just cracking us up, so I had to get out the camera and video. This first video is of Molly singing "Our God Is So Great." She learned it from hearing Macy sing it. It was one of the songs that Macy sang in her Mother's Day Out Program.

This video is of Macy singing the same song, but with the added distraction (I mean voice) of Molly.

This last video is of Molly trying to blow bubbles. It absolutely cracked us up how she was trying to do it.

Pool Fun

We finally got a bigger pool for the kids to play in and they just had a ball today. It was so pretty outside and it was just perfect for them to play in. It would have been a little too cold for me to get in since it came out of the water hose, but maybe tomorrow it will be warmer from the sun. They didn't want to come in for a nap but when they finally did...they were out! They were worn out, but loved every minute of it. I am so glad we got the pool for them.

4 going on 16

Today, I went to pick up Macy from my in-laws. Macy was so excited to see Molly after the long weekend. She told Molly that she wanted to take her for a drive...in her jeep. Macy drove her around the back...only she also drove her NiNi's plants and flowers. She was weaving around, driving through the plants and running into cars. It was absolutely hilarious. I sure do hope she gets better before she turns 16 or I don't want to know how much our car insurance will skyrocket!!

Fun in the Pool

Our good friends invited us today to go to the pool. Macy was still with her Nini and Granddaddy, so Brian and I took Molly. I wasn't sure how she would do because the only swimming we have done has been swimming lessons and she is less than thrilled to get into the pool. But, to my wonderful surprise, she absolutely loved it! The children's pool was just the right depth, up to her waist. She had such a great time and I had a great time just watching her...and taking pictures of course!
