Every year, our city puts on a very nice 4th of July festival. Up until last year, it has always been at the local park, not too big, just right. But our town has outgrown that. Last year (we didn't go), they had it at the ball field. Well, not having gone last year proved to be an eye opening experience. It was huge! I would estimate there were 8-10,000 people there. There were booths with all kinds of food and things to sell, an entire section of inflatables for the kids to play on and huge stage for the performers. The girls had so much fun. It was really a nice family outing. Macy and Molly just loved the cotton candy, I on the other hand hated the stickiness!
When it came time for the fireworks, we really didn't know what to expect with the girls. We had a "prime" seat and it was as if the fireworks were right above us. Molly loved them, Macy was scared to death. At first she closed her eyes and covered her ears. But finally, after much coaxing, she opened her eyes and loved what she saw!
