Doctor Visit

When I picked Molly up from MDO on Tuesday, they pointed out that her cheek was splotchy red, but that she had just awakened from her nap. I was not concerned. When she got up from her afternoon nap, I noticed that both of her cheeks were splotchy...along with her arms and legs. Very strange, I thought. I got out my trusty "What to Expect the Toddler Years," flipped to the back and looked for any illness that had a rash. There were two: Roseola (which is preceeded by a high fever) - Molly had no fever, and Fifth Disease (which is a bacterial infection that you don't know they have until they get this rash and then they aren't contagious anymore). So, I called the doctor, we went on Wednesday, and yep...that's what it was. You may be asking "Fifth Disease," where did that name come from. Well, it was the "fifth" pink-red rash infection that was discovered, after scarlet fever, roseola, measles and rubella. I would have thought scientists could have been a little more creative than that!!

While we were waiting, Molly decided to flirt with a boy in the waiting room. I told her that she needs to play hard to get and not throw herself at a boy...especially one 5 years older!! (Ok, forgive me...I have tried and tried and I cannot get the video to be upright. If anyone knows how, let me know.)

Then, while we were in the exam room, Molly decided to sing for me. She sings (in her own language, of course) "Twinkle Twinkle" and "Patty Cake." She kind of mixes the two as well.

Playing Piano

If you don't have a piano bench to play your masterpiece...make do with what you have!! (Notice, we also have "Liberachi" hair...so we are ready for the big league!)

Another Beautiful Day

After a very cool weekend, Tuesday was just absolutely beautiful. We had to go outside and take a ride in the wagon.

Friday Fun on a Rainy Day

Friday was a rainy, yucky mess, but my mom and I and the girls were bound and determined to get out in it!! We went to the mall to look for a shirt for me to wear in our upcoming choir concert. I had already purchased two different ones on Thursday, but my husband was not that fond of them. Ladies, my husband can dress me better than I can!! I know that is strange, but that is what you get when he worked in retail for 14 years. Anyway, so I was on a mission. Because Macy and Molly were both great at the stores, we rode the carousel after lunch. They both loved it. I will post Molly's picture later because the picture is on my mother's camera because my battery went dead after Macy rode.

When we got home, Macy asked to "pee pee in the potty" and the prize she picked out was a water color book. This was the first time she had ever done this. It thought it was safe because all she paints with is water. VERY CLEAN!!

Reading Time

I have known for a while now how much Macy loves books. She wants at least 2-3 books read before bed and she always brings several in from her room throughout the day to read. I guess she now loves reading them herself...although the stories are a little different than what is written. She makes them up and they are hilarious! She even turns the pages as she reads and points to the pictures. I love it!

Swim Day

Wednesday's are swimming lessons for Macy and she just loves the water...especially when they get to go down the slide into the pool! Too fun!

Tuesday Playdate

Macy and Molly were excited to once again get together with their buddies. We went to another mommy's house to play on their brand new swingset. I think she said it took her husband 2 or 3 weeks to get it put together...very worth it!! The girls all had a wonderful time. I couldn't believe they actually posed for this picture. It was great!

Looks like they are having some good girl talk!

Monday Play Time

Every Monday at our local Barnes and Noble is story and craft time. We have gone before (previously posted) and had a great time again.

We then went to Walmart for a few things and both girls were rewarded for being so good. Macy got a special reward for asking to go to the potty and she not only pottied, but pooped as well. That is big time accomplishment!!

We also played outside after the girl's nap. It is finally so pretty outside. They played with bubbles, one of Macy's favorite things to do. They are really starting to play well together.

Fun at Nomie's House

While we were in Savannah, Molly stayed with my mother (Nomie). She had so much fun being the center of attention, as did Macy with us. I just got some pictures from my mother of Molly while she stayed with them. My mom took her to eat mexican and Molly was so tired that she just laid her head down on the table.

Later that weekend, our really good friend, LeaAnn, brought her kids, Micah and Eric, over to play. Molly loves Eric.

A Beautiful Spring Day

It has been raining so much here that I thought my girls would never be able to play on their swingset again. Today...they finally could. Oh what fun we had in the back yard. I got some really cute pictures.

Shark Attack

It seems as though our youngest child is dangerous when she eats sweets. A few days ago, we gave her strawberry shortcake and then today we gave her blackberry cobbler. She absolutely attacks the spoon. It is hard to get the essence in a picture, but just try to imagine a 15 month child running across the room and biting the spoon as if it is going to get away!!
