Tea Party

Friday, we decided to have a Tea Party with the girls. It was Macy, Molly, Maddie, Claire, their momma and me. We went to a sweet little restaurant called The Veranda that has a little tea room for little girls...including the teapot, tea cups and table and chairs just their size. The girls had so much fun just being little girls. The momma's had a great time too just watching and laughing.

Fun on the 4-Wheeler

It has been so beautiful this past week (except for a few thunderstorm/tornado warnings) and we have tried to spend every minute we can outside.

Beautiful Landscaping

On Friday afternoon, Brian decided that he would pull up a lot of our shrubs because, well, he "just didn't like them anymore." Now, for me, that is not a good reason. We had perfectly good shrubs, but Brian is a perfectionist when it comes to our yard. This process started on Friday, continued all day on Saturday and Sunday, and is about half way done. I wish I had taken "before" pictures, but here is what we have done so far. Pay close attention to the two evergreen trees that are on either side of the big window. They used to be one full tree. Brian cut them to look like that. The trees (which had been there) cost us about $30 a piece a few years ago and he made the trees into what would cost us about $300 now. Pretty cool, huh? And yes, I will hire him out!!

If you look look at the first picture (of Brian), you will notice there is a tulip tree, several azalias, and some pansies. Yes, all of that was dug up and you can see in the next picture, we planted a flat blue spruce and some zinnias.

Hannah Montana? Carrie Underwood? Watch Out!

Here comes Macy on the microphone and the keyboard. She can sing a mean "Jesus Loves Me!!" Watch out girls, cuz here comes Macy. And Claire is accompanying her on the spoon.

Hot Tub Time

While at my parent's house, we all decided to get into the hot tub. We let the girls get in because the temp was only about 96, like bath water. They thought it was their own little pool.

Molly and her Ice Cream

Saturday evening, we went to my parent's house for dinner and to play. Poppie was feeding Molly some ice cream and let's just say it went well for a while, but teasing doesn't go very far with Molly. She gave the "swat" and the "look."

Not sure if I will ever see this again...

Birthday Party

Macy was invited to one of her "bestest" friends birthday parties on Saturday. It had rained overnight, so the outside party was moved to Chic Fil A instead. It worked out perfectly. Macy had a ball at Madison's birthday party with all of their friends. We were even told that the management there said they couldn't believe what a well behaved group of kids we have, especially to be 2 and 3 year olds. (There must have been another group there having a birthday and they got us mixed up!!) Just kidding...that makes you so proud as a mom to hear that.

Hide and Seek

I will definitely know where to find Molly when we play this game.

Special Story Time

This past Friday was story time again at our church library, but there was something VERY special about this story time. NOMIE WAS READING THE STORIES!! And you would really think that Macy and Molly would be so excited to hear their Nomie read the stories...wrong!! Those two were the least interested of any kids there. I couldn't believe it. Oh well...

They also sang a few songs. Observe Macy. I guess she just takes after her mother and doesn't know how to sit still.

Looking Back

I was cleaning out some folders here on my computer and found this video from last summer. It was Macy when she was first counting to ten. Wow, how different she looks and sounds now!!

Couch Time with Daddy

The girls just absolutely love their daddy, but they get very jealous of each other. As long as one is on one end of the couch and the other at the opposite end, all is well. See what happens when they don't stay on their side...

1/2 Price Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins

Some friends of ours own several Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins and tonight was the opening of one of the new stores. They offered all ice cream at half price. You just can't pass that up. While we were there, Macy's friends walked in. Maddie, Claire, Emma Grace and their parents came also.

Maddie loved her Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. (That is MY favorite!!)

Ball in the Tree

Nomie (my mom) bought Macy a ball the other day while out grocery shopping. While we were out last night playing, Daddy thought it would be neat to see how high in the air he could kick it. Well, guess what...he can kick it pretty high...AND...it can get stuck allllll the waaayyyy in the top of that tree. Here is Brian and my dad trying to get the ball down. It was quite comical.

Needless to say, this option did not work. Neither one of them could lift each other up into the tree.
