Day 5 - Hollywood Studios & Magic Kingdom

Macy and I saw the "Beauty and the Beast" show. It was just as good as if we had paid high dollars at a theater. (well, we did pay to go to Disneyworld, now didn't we?)

Macy decided that she wanted a (temporary) tattoo. After seeing the Beauty and the Beast show, she didn't speak of Cinderella again. It was all about Belle.

We went back to Magic Kingdom to see the Spectromagic Parade and the Fireworks show. Here we are waiting for the parade to begin...in the rain.

It really was amazing to be able to take Macy to Disneyworld. It is very different seeing it through the eyes of your child. AMAZING!!

Day 4 - Epcot

It rained in the afternoon, so we all had to get ponchos. Unfortunately, they didn't help much.

Macy cracked us all up when we got on a ride at Epcot (a very slow ride, mind you) and Macy put her arms up and began to yell "weeeee."

This brought back a lot of memories for me... EnVogue performed at Epcot. I can remember being in high school and listening to their music all the time. I am thinking that it wasn't even on a cd yet? Am I that old?

It was so cute...every evening when we would get back from the park, the maid had done something neat in our room. This evening, she took Macy's doll and put her on the pillow reading Cinderella.

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom & Cinderella

This was the neatest thing. Someone was on stilts and dressed as a tree, walking around, doing neat tricks. Very cool!

This was a new ride at the park. The "Everest." It is a roller coaster that has many drops, stops and goes backwards, and generally makes you scream like a girl (well, I am a girl) but Brian and Ryan did also!!

Dinner with Cinderella:

We had scheduled ahead of time to have dinner with Cinderella. Well, this was the highlight of Macy's trip. She was so excited to get all dressed up and Mommy even put a little makeup on her. She posed everywhere we went. She also curtsied and would say "Your majesty, may I have this dance?"

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

We hadn't even been there 10 minutes when we bought a huge (annoying, I might add) balloon. What we will do for our kids!

Brian and Ryan getting ready to come down the water on Splash Mountain. Later that night, Macy rode it with them. I don't have any pictures because it was so dark. Macy was "exactly" tall enough (by about 1/2 inch), but we waited until no one was checking and moved her on into line. SHE LOVED IT!!

Day 1 - Disneyworld

For the past month, we had been planning on getting up real early on Saturday morning and heading for Orlando, but...Brian had a different idea. ON FRIDAY!!! He came home around 9:00am and the conversation was:

B - I have an idea and I really want you to keep an open mind.
Me - OK?!?! (with a very questioning look on my face)
B - Let's leave around 1:00pm today and drive to the beach for the day. We can spend Saturday at the beach and then head over to Orlando that evening. We can't be 45 minutes from the beach and not go.
Me - Ugh..... I guess I could get everything ready. What about Ryan? (He is Brian's 16 year old nephew who was going with us)
B - I will call my sister and ask her to get him out of school early.

No such luck...he had basketball practice. But Brian was determined to go to the beach. So, at 6:00pm, we left for Daytona Beach. A 10 HOUR DRIVE!! We were so tired when we got there, I don't think that I really enjoyed the beach....BUT MACY DID!! The water was cold enough that I only got my feet in, but it didn't bother Macy one bit.

In the car on the way down there, Macy found out about my ipod. I had downloaded the song "How Do You Know" from Enchanted. She listened to it over and over and over...

Saturday evening, we went to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping and have dinner. When we arrived, Tinkerbell's fairies were there to greet us and they sprinkled "pixy dust" on Macy. She was so excited!!

Cute Conversations

My mom came with me today to pick up the girls from MDO and on our way to car, Macy was not behaving very well. My mother was trying to have a talk with her and...:

Mom: Macy you don't need to talk to Nomie like that.
Macy: NO! (trying to get out of the car seat)
Mom: Sit still, Macy
Macy: NO!
Mom: Macy, you are going to have to get in the car seat whether you like it or not.
Macy: NOT!

The second conversation was while we were running errands an hour or so later.

Mom: Molly, do you want some jello? (Left over from her lunch)
Molly: No.
Macy: I want some jello. (mom gives it to her)
Molly: Mine! Mine!
Macy: No Molly, jello is for little girls. Jello is not for sisters.

New Project #2

For several months, I have been trying to find a cute table and chairs for my in-laws house...and just haven't had any luck. They were either too expensive or just not cute. So, a couple of weeks ago, I started looking on Craigs List and finally found one...for $50. When I initially got it, I just knew it would be perfect because the girl's room at their house is a sky blue with clouds painted along the top and on the ceiling and flowers painted around the bottom. (The family that owned their house before had a little girl...perfect for my girls). I really hadn't thought about doing anything to the table... until the other day. I just couldn't stand it looking plain. So, today I painted it. I think it looks pretty cute. Do you?

New Project #1

Ok, so I am sure you are tired of hearing about all of the projects that I am doing. You are probably saying, "why don't you just rest, kick back, read a book." You forget...I am ADD or is it OCD...well, some type of lettering. Anyway, I was at a consignment sale a few weeks back with some friends and they had the cutest "pillowcase dresses" for sale, but they were charging $25. Now don't get me wrong, they were cute,...but we were like, "we could make those." So, last night Jessica, Jen and I got together to see if we could make one and guess what? We did and they are adorable and the best part is...they cost us about $5.00 for material and ribbon. Guess what Macy and Molly?...there are going to be lots of pillowcase dresses are in your future. They are adorable. I have enought material to make 14 dresses (7 matching dresses for the girls). Halloween, Christmas, etc. This is the one I made and it only took about 45 minutes. Macy is going to wear it when we go to Disneyworld on Saturday.
