Girls Night Out

...at Chucky Cheese? All of our husbands were working tonight, so Jennifer, Jessica and I got all of our girls together and went to Chucky Cheese. They had such a ball eating pizza and playing games.

They especially loved playing skeeball...well, their own version of the game. A version that guaranteed them some tickets.

Our Friends are Back

Almost three years ago, some very goods friends of ours moved to Texas. They had a little boy who was two and I was pregnant with Macy. Shara and I had become very good friends...kindred spirits (from Anne of Green Gables, if you have ever read it or seen it). Anyway, it was terrible when she left. To make a long story short, she was miserable and begged her husband to move back. Praise the Lord that a company called him, the job worked out, and they moved back a couple of weeks ago. They now have a little girl also, Katie, who is 2 1/2 and their son is now 5. We went over there the day they were moving in (which happens to be right around the corner from us, yeah!!) and the kids got along as if they had been friends forever.

Her Buddy, Poppy!!

Molly has developed quite an affection for my dad, her poppy. She talks about him all the time and is estatic any time she sees him. They have been spending alot more time together lately and she loves sitting with him on the couch.

Successful Holiday Bazaar

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I was going to be selling some pillowcase dresses at a craft fair that our church was doing. I was very nervous about it and was scared that no one would even take a second look at them. I made 17 dresses and 2 tops.

I was very pleased at the result...I sold 7 of the dresses that I brought, took 8 orders there, and received phone calls for 9 more dresses after the sale. Needless to say...I have been busy!!

My Little Princesses

The girls had so much fun on Halloween. They were Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. We went to my in-laws for the occasion because they get a lot more trick-or-treat traffic than we do. In fact, they had 206!! The girls just loved going door to door and getting to grab the candy out of buckets.

Dance Halloween Party

Macy's dance class had their Halloween party tonight and Macy just had a blast. She dressed up as a witch. During the first 20 minutes of class the girls learned a cute little dance and then performed it for all of the parents.

Wordless Wednesday

For the Birds...

It was such a beautiful day outside today that I decided to take the girls to feed the ducks at the park (and because I had been collecting our left over and old bread to be able to do that). My dad actually decided to come with us. Macy loved throwing the bread for them to catch and Molly just loved chasing them. It was hilarious. We then went over to the playground and let them play for a while.

Molly decided to come down the slide backward. She has been doing this at home on our slide too!!

Smily Hollow

Our church has an annual fall gathering at a place called Smiley Hollow. There are lots of things for the kids to do, putt-putt, pony rides, hayrides, dinner, etc. We haven't gone the last couple of years, but I just knew the girls would love it. After first arriving, they wanted to ride the animals. Yes, a plastic cow and pig!!

Then, we discovered the cotton candy. The last couple of times that Macy has tried it, she didn't like it. Not this time!!

We then made our way over to the pony rides. Macy asked if she could ride the ponies and I just couldn't say no. She was scared of then at the circus almost a year ago, but what a difference a year makes!!

Then we headed back inside the barn for Macy to play with the hoola hoops. She is actually pretty good with one, for a three year old that is.

Princess Party

Macy and Molly went to Emma Grace's 3rd birthday party today. It was such a beautiful day for a beautiful girl. The girls had so much fun making crafts, eating lunch, having a neat "Cinderella" cake and especially when Cinderella actually came by for a visit. The girls were so suprised. Macy just could not contain herself...and I do mean that she could not stop talking. She was so excited...having just come back from her castle and all!!

Holiday Bazaar

So we're having this holiday craft fair at our church in November, and I got the bright idea that I would like to participate. Remember when I posted about the pillowcase dress that I made for Macy? Well, times this by 20 and that is how many I am making for the bazaar in all different sizes. I am very excited about it, but am already tired. I made 5 today, so I guess that is pretty good. Let me know what you think.

Sweet Baby

We have now taken the front off of Molly's crib (since she was climbing out of it every day) and put a short bed rail up. I was just getting too nervous about her getting hurt climbing out of the bed...although she seemed to be handling it just fine. This is how I found her this morning. I think that chair is more comfy than a bed any day!!

This is Halloween from 2006. I was pregnant with Molly at the time. Macy was so cute as a cat. I remember that I was so proud of myself because I bought black pants and a black top and Target had a package of the ears and tail on the dollar aisle. Such a cheap costume!!

No More Un-supervised Crayon Use

Yesterday, I was cleaning up our bonus room (well, mostly picking up a whole lot of toys from the girls), moved their play kitchen and found this!!

I didn't know what to do (at first). So, I went downstairs to look at all my cleaning supplies and remembered someone telling me about "The Magic Eraser." Well, it works great except for the fact that by the time you do a small area, it has fallen to pieces. So, I had on my list today to pick up some more of those. I forgot!! So, I was on the internet searching "Ask Jeeves" and guess what I found? WD40 can clean off crayon!!! I had it all the time here and it is so much cheaper!! So, now here is my new, clean wall. Just in case you wondered, all of the crayons were confiscated and there will only be supervised coloring from now on. If you wonder who did it, I will never know!!
