Disney on Ice

Saturday night, we took the girls to see Disney on Ice. We went last year also, but only took Macy. We felt that both girls were ready this year. I made sure that all of the princesses were going to be in this one, because last year Macy was so excited to see Cinderella...and she wasn't there. It was only about Tinkerbell. Well, not this year! They were ALL there!

GiGi's Cupcakes...YUM YUM

A very special friend brought each of my girls a delicious Princess Cupcake. One for the patient and one for her sweet sister. I wasn't sure if Molly would actually eat any of it or not, but she especially loved the icing!

Happy Child

What a difference a day makes!! Molly woke up this morning wanting to walk around and play. We walked up and down the halls (with IV pole in tow) and then she rode in a little plastic car around the halls. FUN! Then, she wanted to play with her castle and princesses and now she is coloring. It is so wonderful to see glimpses of my child back! She was invaded yesterday!! We are hoping to go home today if Molly will adequately eat and drink. So far, so good!

No More Tonsils and Adenoids

Today has been a very hard day. We had to be at the hospital at 6am this morning for Molly's surgery at 8am. At 2 1/2, Molly couldn't understand what was going to happen to her. She was playing and happy early this morning, and now she has turned into a "crazy" child! HA She is screaming, throwing, and just plain unhappy. She keeps trying to take off the splint that covers her IV. She wants the chord that checks her oxygen levels off. She won't eat or drink anything. She is just plain unhappy...all the while the nurses say "this is all very normal." Ok, that just doesn't help though. They said that children having their tonsils out is one of the worst recoveries (wish I would have realized that before hand!). Could be 10-14 days to be back to normal.

It's Fall, Ya'll

Brian was so excited this weekend that it was getting cooler and was showing real signs of fall, that we took the girls to pick out pumpkins and get some mums. We are certainly turning our house from summer to fall. So exciting!

Macy enjoyed picking the last of the geraniums before we threw it away to plant the mums.

Singing in the Rain

Tonight we had some friends over for dinner and Brian decided to grill out. While he was cooking, it came a downpour! Well, Molly thought it was hilarious and went out on the deck (without us realizing). She began singing and was standing right in the rain. It was so funny. We didn't even make her move!

When I first got my phone a couple of months ago, I tried to take some pictures of the girls. I was just playing around with the features on my phone. Well, that was all well and good, but I couldn't figure out how to get them from my phone to the computer. Well, I finally figured it out a few days ago. I thought these few pictures were cool.

Who Needs a Donkey?

...when you can drive a car!! I got so tickled when I saw that Macy had Mary driving the car. She plays with her nativity all year long and now Mary drives!

Beautiful Chairs

For Mother's Day, I gave my mother-in-law fabric for her breakfast table chairs and the promise of re-covering them for her. Well, today I finally got them done. Sorry Frances that it took me 4 months to get it done.

Morning of Pampering

This morning, I took Molly to get her fingernails and toenails painted. Macy has had this done several times, but Molly never had. This weekend, Macy is staying with her Ninnie and Granddaddy so Molly gets all the attention. She was so excited and sat there so still and wanted to show everyone once they were done.

Hula Hoop

Today in Macy's dance class, they played with hula hoops. All of the girls were really struggling to even hold the hula hoop up, but one of the little girls was unbelievable! Watch this!
