Monday Playdate

Macy, Molly and Emma Grace went to story telling time at our new Barnes and Noble bookstore. They have a great little area in the kid's books section just for that. They were ready to listen...

Then we went to Backyard Burger for some good food and lots of fun!!

Who needs toys?

Who needs toys when you have a shower? Great babysitter while mommy is fixing her hair.

Ice Cream

Molly has had such a hard time with milk since she was born. She had to be on soy formula; we tried regular milk at 12 months and she couldn't handle it, so we have continued with soy milk. Trust me when I say, YUCK! It tastes aweful, it smells awful (being poured in a cup and coming out of Molly, if you know what I mean). Anyway, lately we have felt very sorry for Molly every time we went out for ice cream. Well, tonight...we just said "forget it" and we gave it to her anyway. Her first response was really funny...I think because it was really cold. But, after that...we couldn't get it in her mouth fast enough. Macy loved it too...always has!! She gets that from her mommy and daddy! Ha


After our ice cream, Molly wanted to play a little game of "peek-a-boo"...one handed.

Thank Goodness for Boring Weekends!

There are some days that you just pray that you will have nothing to do...well, that was the case for this weekend. It was wonderful. My MOPS group was supposed to have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on Friday, but because of the weather, it was postponed. I have to say that I was not disappointed. I hadn't even told the girls that we were going to do that, so as to avoid a melt down when told we weren't going. Good thinking, right? Anyway, so we stayed in all day. It was great. Then, Brian and I had some friends over. It was great...there were three couples, 5 children (all girls)...they had a blast playing together.

Saturday brought about more boringness?!? We slept in, I had a massage, and then Macy, Nomie and I went to the movie. We saw "Horton Hears a Who." We loved it. The guys watched basketball...all their teams lost. It was a sad day.

Then today, we went to church and then came home and played outside for a little while before naps (which are going on right now, praise the Lord!!). Molly has started doing this funny walk. We call her "Mrs. Wiggins," if you remember from Carol Burnett you will know exactly what I am talking about. It is hilarious. It is hard to capture it in a still shot, but here goes.

Fun with Friends

Yesterday, our local City Hall hosted an afternoon of Easter fun. There were lots of games, prizes, candy, and of course, the Easter Bunny. We met some friends up there and the girls had a blast playing together.

Here they are at the jelly bean toss. The girls liked tossing the jelly beans into their mouths instead of the cups...I would have too.

Here are those cuties waiting patiently in line for the Easter Bunny. Unfortunately, Macy was the only one who wouldn't even go in the same room as the bunny. Maybe next year...

We then headed over to the local park for lots more fun. It was so beautiful outside that we just didn't want to go home yet.

Bragging Rights

I know that I don't brag on my husband enough and I want the world to know how wonderful he is. I went out for a "Girl's Night Out" last night and left him at home with the girls. Now, if you read my post a week ago...you will remember that I came home from church to an absolute tornado and a sleeping husband. Well, last night I came home to a spotless house, dishes washing in the dishwasher, clothes in the washer, kids in the bed, and him sound a sleep as well. He should be after all of that work. It made going to bed so much easier. I love you honey and thank you so much!

Princess Poopy Pants

As mother's, we all know about poop. But I have to say there has been way too much of it in my house today. So far, the record is 6 and it is only 2:00. Not sure what it is that my kids have eaten, but it is just nasty. Just thought I would share. You're welcome!!

Playdate

Macy, Molly and I had a playdate yesterday with my very good Leslee whom I have known since high school. She has 2 year old twin girls, a 10 month old little boy and one on the way due in August. Needless to say, she has her hands full...thus we went to her house.

The girls had a ball dressing up as Cinderella. Molly had fun crawling into everything. See below...

Sweet Victory!!

What an incredible game last night!! If any of you watched the UT Lady Vols play the LSU Tigers...you know that it was a nail biting game. Brian and I had so much fun. UT fans are amazing. I have never experienced anything like it.

A Nice Afternoon

Macy and I got to enjoy a little time outside this afternoon. It was still a little cool, but warm enough to play. Remember, it was just yesterday that we played in the snow!!

Lady Vols

My Christmas present to Brian this year was tickets to the Women's SEC Basketball Tournament. We are huge UT fans, especially women's basketball. The tournament started on Thursday - we didn't go because UT didn't play until Friday. Friday, Macy went to the game with her daddy. She was infatuated with the jumbo-tron, loved the hotdog and cotton candy...but was done after that. She told her daddy that she would rather watch a movie. So, Saturday we got a babysitter for the girls and saw UT play Vanderbilt. It was a great game!!

Fun in the Snow, Day 2

Just a little over a week ago, we had about 2 inches of snow, and the girls had a blast. Well, we had another "winter storm" on Friday night and awoke to a beautiful white scene. We got about 4 inches this time. Macy was chomping at the bit to go outside and play again in the snow. She wanted to make "snow angels." Daddy wanted to take her sledding...but we don't own a sled. That didn't stop daddy!!

Library Time

It seems as though this week has been a lot of "firsts." Macy went to her first movie, first time for both girls to build a snowman and now first time going to the library. Our church just built a new library and they decided to have story time on Friday's. It was so much fun. They listened and sang and danced. Macy even helped pick out some books to read this week.
