Cast in Florida

Macy had a doctor's appt today to check on her arm. They did x-rays again to see the progress of her healing. The good news is... her arm is healing very nicely and right on pace. The bad news is... the pace doesn't end for another 4 weeks. Unfortunately, we leave for Florida in 3 weeks. So, not only does Macy have to wear the cast the entire time we are in Florida, but she has to wear it one week longer than she would have because we will still be out of town. I feel so bad for her...or maybe I feel bad for me! Cast - salt water - sand - heat - sand - sand!!! All I can say is YUK! Thank goodness that Macy doesn't understand and she will just be elated when the cast comes off. She does occasionally ask if I will take it off and I just have to tell her that her arm is still healing and it's not time yet. She got a pinwheel to match her cast for being so good and still for the x-rays.

Fun at the Fountains

My mom and I took the girls to the fountains again today and had so much fun. It was overcast and a little cooler, so it made sitting outside bearable. Molly really got into it this time. She was a little skiddish of the fountains before, but today she was right up in the middle of them. They were so cute. We did get a couple of scraped knees and a knot on Molly's forehead from running on the brick pavement and falling. Oh well, they got right back up and ran for the water.

We took a sack lunch and ate there on a bench. It was hard to get the girls to sit still long enough to eat...but after a bite here and a bite there, they had a decent lunch.

Swingset

Free Movie Day

Our new, local theater is offering free movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for kids. They are G or PG movies, mostly those that are already on DVD, but a great opportunity to take your kids to the movie and if they don't make it, you don't fight it or feel guilty about it. The only catch is that they still get you with the popcorn and drinks. But oh well...it is worth it. We met up with our "peeps" and had a great time seeing Over the Hedge. It seemed much more appropriate for kids older than 2 and 3 (which ours are), but they thought it was funny, as did we.

Making Dinner - "The Easy Way"

Last night, a group of us girls got together to make dinner...12 delicious, complicated meals to be exact. Are you confused yet? Well, there is a new place in town where you go to make dinners that you freeze for a later time. They have all of the ingredients, everything chopped, the recipe, the containers...and you don't have to clean anything up!! How awesome is that!! You plan a party, each meal has it's own station, you listen to fun music, and just have an all around great time. And you come away with 12 "no way in heck I would make these at home" meals that only have to be thrown in the oven or on the stove and no prep required. It has already been done. All moms should make this a requirement!!

Happy Father's Day

How precious you are to me, Brian. You are my true love and soul mate and the most wonderful husband and father anyone could pray for. And I thank my father also. How great it is to live so close to my parents and have them so involved in our children's lives. They love their Nomie and Poppy so much.

Surprise!!

Brian's nephew, Ryan, is turning 16 at the end of this month. His mom and dad bought him a Jeep Wrangler a few weeks ago and have been hiding it. Well, they just couldn't wait any longer and decided since we were all there for Father's Day today, they would surprise him. He just couldn't believe it. We were so excited to be a part of the surprise.

Fun at Ninnie's

We went to Ninnie and Granddaddy's house after lunch today to surprise Ryan with his new car and of course, the girls had a ball. They always do because they get to do just about anything they want. Today was Popsicles!!

We all had lunch together today and we always have so much fun together. Brian's family is so close that we usually all get together at just about every holiday, including my parents. We are so blessed to have the family that we do.

Ninnie bought Macy a Barbie to play with after lunch. Thank you Ninnie!!

Funny Life Jacket

We went to my parent's pool this evening to take the girls swimming. Molly was getting so daring in the water that we just couldn't relax. So, we got out the kid's life jacket that was on my parent's boat. We laughed so hard because it immediately layed Molly backwards in the pool and she just floated around on her back. It was almost too heavy for her to walk around in.

MACY:

• Yogret = Yogurt
• Seatbelt = Life Jacket (I need my seatbelt so I can swim)
• Poppy was trying to help Macy do something on Friday night and she said "Now Poppy, you know better than that." I wonder where she heard that one (500 times a day)?
• Tonight we were all swimming in Nomie and Poppy's pool and the conversation went like this:

Me: Macy, why don't you take a break from swimming? You are getting tired.

Macy: No, I want to swim.

Me: Count to 10 and then you can swim again.

Macy: Ok, 1, 2, 10! Let's swim!

• Macy loves to tell stories. When you ask her to tell a story, it begins like this. "Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Macy..."

MOLLY:

• Bah-bulls (drawn out) = Bubbles
• Bough-wool = Ball
• PaPa = Poppy
• High-ee = Hi
• Num, Num, Num = anything that tastes good
• She loves to sing and can sing Jesus Loves Me, ABC's, and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star - the only problem is that she is singing it in a language we just don't know yet! But, the tune is there.

Trip to the Airport

Somehow I forgot to post this and in a few days I will move it to the appropriate date...I just wanted you guys to see this because it was so cute. Back in May, my dad took Macy with him to pick up my grandmother at the airport. She was so excited to go. Here are a few pictures my dad took.
