Frosty

Brian and the girls made this fabulous snowman today. The snow finally packed well enough to make one. They had so much fun helping daddy. Daddy did say that Macy wasn't really helpful for more than eating the snow! HA

Sledding

Sledding, Take 1

Ok, so this is the funniest thing. We didn't really plan ahead very well and waiting until the last minute to try and find a sled. Well, unfortunately, there was not one to be found. So, Brian went online to find out how to make a homemade sled. He took the top of a plastic bin (yes, the top off one from the attic that had stuff in it!!), wrapped it in outside slick duct tape and then spread wesson oil on it. I was afraid we were going to have a "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" on our hands. Not exactly. Watch and see.

Sledding, Take 2

After watching the above video (only in person), our neighbor felt so sorry for us that he asked if we wanted to borrow their sled...a very good, Radio Flyer sled. The girls absolutely had a ball. I haven't see them laugh and smile that much in a long time!

Snow Weekend

The weatherman predicted 10 to 12 inches...reality gave us 5 inches. The girls absolutely loved it. They made snow angels and threw snow balls at each other. We couldn't really make a snowman because the snow is mostly powder. It didn't matter. The girls had a ball.

Last night as the snow was coming down, Brian got a bowl full of snow to make "snow cream." Of course the girls absolutely loved it. With the left over snow, Brian made a "mini snowman" all decked out. So that Frosty wouldn't melt, we placed him on the back porch. He was still there bright and cheery this morning!

Barbie Concert

Macy and Molly were playing with their barbies this afteroon and I walked in on Cinderella's Concert. Macy told me to be quiet so that I wouldn't disturb her singing. Hilarious!

Done With Her Nap...well, Not Really

I was sitting in the chair when Molly got up from her nap today. I saw the door open and saw her come out....but then I didn't see her. I couldn't figure out where she had gone until I heard very deep breathing.


She had fallen back asleep on the floor right outside her door. Too funny. I decided to just leave her there to finish her nap. About thirty minutes later, she got up again and got on the couch with Brian. Next thing I know, she is on the couch asleep AGAIN! She must have really been tired.

Like Father, Like Daughter

Molly loves having her arms or her back scratched just like Brian does. It is so funny to see how much alike they are.

Baby Travis

Our sweet friends, Dennis and Betsy, adopted the most precious little boy back in October. I have gotten to enjoy seeing him get bigger and bigger. Tonight, we went to their house for dinner and I was able to take the cutest pictures of him. He was blowing bubbles and then he began to smile and laugh and it was absolutely precious!!

Snow Day

Well we finally had snow. It wasn't much...but it was still snow and the girls absolutely loved it. The schools were closed for three days, which is kind of a joke around here. After that many days of being in the house, no school and little snow to play in...I was so ready for the girls to go back to school. I think they were ready too.
