Today was extra special not only for Macy, but for her Mommy as well. Molly is staying with Brian's parents for the weekend, so it was "Girl's Day Out" for mommy and Macy. First on our agenda was story time at our church library. We met up with friends, Emma Grace and her mommy Jennifer. These two cool girls were just too cool for us!!
Next stop was "Tea Time" at the Veranda. Both Jennifer and I have such "girly" girls that this was right up their alley. They wanted to be such big girls and pour the teapot themselves, both spilling at least once.
Some of the conversation included:
EG: So Macy, how is the family?
M: They are good.
EG: Beautiful day isn't it?
M: Oh, yes. How is your family?
EG: The baby is sick.
They are absolutely hilarious!! Emma Grace and her mommy had to leave after lunch to rest before they attended a birthday party in the afternoon. But Macy and I still had things to do!! We walked around our new open mall and went to Gymboree. I think Macy is ready for the Kentucky Derby.
We had to get pampered...the whole nine yards! Macy had her finger nails and her toe nails painted...including flowers on her big toe nails and polka dots on her finger nails. I couldn't believe how still she was during the process...she was mesmerized.
We then came home for a little rest before we continued with our Day for a Princess. Daddy wanted to join us for the evening. He called earlier in the day and he had planned the rest of the evening. We went to Rainforest Cafe to eat and neither one of us has ever seen Macy so excited about anything. I think the only time she stopped talking was to chew her food. All she could talk about was the elephants and monkeys and the "twinkle, twinkle, little star" (the ceiling was painted like the sky with sparkly lights). She was a total chatter box.
While walking around the mall after dinner, we first stopped at the carousel. We can never pass up one of those.
Then, we went into Payless and happened upon some flip flops that Macy just could not live without. Pink with princesses on them and they light up when you walk!! Too cool!
Then, it was time to end the evening with a bang - ICE CREAM!! We went to Marble Slab for some chocolate ice cream - daddy had peppermint and mommy had chocolate with reeses peanut butter cups.
PERFECT ENDING FOR A PERFECT DAY!!
