Well, today was the big day for "going to the doctor to get a new bandaid," as Macy described it. I have to admit that I was much more nervous than Macy was. I was so afraid of them taking her away from me screaming and crying. Well, nothing like that happened. In fact, after they put a little cap and the booties on her, gave her a stuffed animal, and told her about blowing up a balloon (the bag on the anesthesia mask)...she was ready for the "Dora Adventure." Then, as they were about to wheel her away, they lifted the bed and put the side rails up, and Daddy began to sing "we're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship, going through the sky, Little Einsteins." She looked at us and said, "bye Mommy and Daddy, see you later." I wasn't sure whether to cry or laugh. I chose laughter.
The procedure took less than thirty minutes, only took gas and no IV (PTL) and no incision. The doctor just had to sort of bend the bone back into place. It was not broken all the through, a fracture. It looked to me like a tree branch you might break that doesn't break all the way. I have attached copies of the x-rays that he gave us. The first is the fracture and the second is the fixed bone with her cast on.
She was just the most brave child I have ever seen. When we came back into the recovery room (which by the way was painted like an aquarium including nemo, dori, sebastian, etc), she was laying there talking to the nurse about her pink cast. No tears then either. I couldn't believe it!!
Macy felt so good when we got home that she asked to see her friends. We were supposed to start Kindermusik today and I wasn't going to let her go, but she was feeling so good that we went and she had such a good time. I should have second guessed Molly. Ha, just kidding...she was just all over the place. Good thing my mom was with me.

You definitely got the worst end of the deal on the injuries. Anthony is fine, he just looks like a boxer. However, since dad told him that, he wants to "play boxing" with Gabe. I can see this going very wrong very fast.
