Home Project Part 2

The painter finished the kitchen today and I must say it is gorgeous. I never thought that I would like brown, but strangely enough, it really brightened things up. We are not completely done with accessories. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby today and bought a bunch of different things, will be returning a lot, and on a mission for a couple more things...and then we will be done!! I did also have the painter paint our guest bath, but you can't see that until I have made the shower curtain and cornace board. That will take a little while.

I used the "paper trace" idea on this wall again. It is so awesome to be able to just tape a piece of paper up on the wall, hammer the nails in, and hang the pictures, with no worries!

Here is the breakfast area. It will look a little different once I get the valences made. I am so excited to get started on those. I can't buy the material until Saturday because that is when it goes 50% off!!!

Notice how clean the countertop is!! I don't think I have ever shown this much counter before. You know, with cannisters, coffee maker, junk, junk, junk! We'll see just how long it stays this way. Brian even told me that the two picture frames that I have on the counter can only contain pictures that will coordinate with the decor. He made me change the picture that had me in a pink shirt!! Love him...but, a little obsessive!! :-)
