Home Project

Brian and I have decided to do a little updating on our house. Our first project was painting. I got such an incredible quote on having a painter come, that it was crazy to try to do it ourselves. We had the entire downstairs painted, except for the bedrooms. We then had a friend come and help us put all of our accessories back...well, about 1/4 of them back. I have been told that I am picture happy. Yes, I love looking at my babies...and I do mean everywhere!! HA We changed from red and taupe walls to orangy/salmon and gold and we are changing our kitchen from red to chocolate brown. Those pictures will come when it is completed. Our next project is painting some of our light fixtures from brass to a brown pewter. We are getting kind of creative with that. It is fun.

I am sure most of you have seen on home improvement shows how they lay out a piece of paper, lay out how your want your pictures to look, trace them, hang the paper on the wall, nail your nails into the wall, tear off the paper, and then hang your pictures and they are perfect. Well, I tried it for the first time this weekend, and TRUST ME, IT WORKS!! If you look at the first picture where I hung the girl's panel pictures, let me tell you that there is only one hole in the wall and that is where the nail is. There aren't 15 holes to get it straight. Try it next time you have to hang more than one picture or one that has two holes (you know like heavy pictures with two picture hangers!!).
